Red Squirrel Productions is a new film production collaboration consisting of James Herd and Natalie Martins both the Writers and Producers of Just Do It (Working Title). They are currently in the pre-production stages of the short film and aim to have the film casted by April.
James Herd has directed and produced some fantastic documentaries during his time studying Film and Television Production at Portsmouth University and recently produced The First Step, a short film about a young woman who struggles to overcome her agoraphobia, based on the short story "Never" by H. E. Bates. You can view some of his work via the links below.
Natalie Martins graduated from Greenwich University in June 2011 with her BA (Hons) Drama degree where she studied Drama with Creative Writing. Since then she has completed the Acting for Film courses at Met Film School and has been fortunate enough to play the lead in several short films. This is where her love for film developed. Having written several plays and worked on several film sets she was eager to write her first screenplay, so she jumped at the opportunity to partner with James Herd to write and produce one together.
News Update:
Natalie has recently been accepted as a crew member on the National Youth Film Academy course in April. Out of over 3000 applicants who applied just 120 talented actors and filmmakers got accepted, Natalie being one of them. The course allows her to meet and learn from several industry professionals and work together with like-minded talented individuals to produce and shoot a film in just ten days. Natalie aims to apply all her knowledge gained from the course into this film and has high hopes for its success: http://www.nyfa.org.uk/
