{From the official bio]:
With an angelic voice reminiscent of Sarah McLachlan and songs full of profoundly emotional melodies, Dublin born singer-songwriter Lisa Cuthbert demonstrates ease and fluidity in her songwriting that belie powerful undercurrents. She navigates the ferocity of raw emotion with unwavering confidence and vision and she has been described as a "darker Tori Amos".
Although Lisa is best known for her appearances with Anathema-related projects Antimatter and Ion, her solo performances - often praised as being "magical" and "mesmerizing" - have thrilled audiences throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. Her autumn 2011 European tour included gigs in Poland, Netherlands and Germany and featuring a support slot for UK prog rock gods Marillion at Paradiso in Amsterdam, 28 Nov. She played as both a touring member of Antimatter in Poland and as a headliner for her series of shows in Berlin, Dresden, and Koln.
A consummate performer, Lisa tours often and has previously supported David Eugene Edwards’ acclaimed alt-Americana band Wovenhand and Kris Force’s dark neoclassical project Amber Asylum. Paramour, the follow-up to her debut album Obstacles, is due for release in autumn 2012.
