Jonathan has been an emerging artist for most of his life but had no idea until recently.
Born a few miles north-west of Bow Bells in 1953, Jonathan immigrated to Australia in 1979 escaping the impending doom that was to become Thatcher's England. He has been a passionate photographer for more than 30 years, but a change in career of late has given Jonathan more freedom to explore his art. He currently resides in Victoria and lives with his patient wife and doting cat.Where once he thought himself an aspiring street/urban photographer, Jonathan now concentrates his artistic energy in exploring and developing photographic projects whereby he is able to group his artwork thematically, utilising both digital and film media.
Recent projects include:
A Visual Journey - The Supreme Court of Victoria
Melbourne Landscapes - Red Bluff and Brighton
Melbourne - Between the Lines (on-going)
Wunderkammer - Reliving childhood
Vintage - Original artwork and creative restorations
A Very Victorian Haunting - images inpsired by 'The Turn of the Screw' by Henry James.
