Secrets of Tantra - Magic in Practice from Asia

English: "Secrets of Tantra - Magic in Practice from Asia" is a documentary with fictional sequences. It will tell about the roots and the meaning of various tantric traditions. Nowadays there is a lot of confusion abut the word "Tantra". In the same time we all long for a better way of life concerning so many subjects, like ecology, economy, politics, science, family and our relationships. Tantric Practitioners in former times knew that all these parts of life mutually influence each other. Finally it is a philosophy about love.

To report about the essence of Tantrism we will visit mystic places in India, meet the wise and heart-connected tantric master Bhagavan Shanmukha Natha at Sri Kali Ashram and the tantric artist Parvathy Baul. We will tell about their daily life, their special practice like Yoga, Meditation, Arts, singing or dancing, and about the essence of what they experience. We want to give them the opportunity to share their wisdom, experience and love with us. In the same time we will make allowance for discussion.

Our documentary will also include some fictional sequences in order to give an impression of the meaning of tantric love.

German: "Secrets of Tantra - Magic in Practice from Asia" ist ein Dokumentarfilm mit Spielsequenzen. Er erzählt von den Wurzeln und der Bedeutung verschiedener tantrischer Traditionen. Heutzutage gibt es viel Verwirrung über das Wort "Tantra". Gleichzeitig sehnen wir uns alle nach einer besseren Lebensweise in vieler Hinsicht, sei es Ökologie, Wirtschaft, Politik, Wissenschaft, Familie oder unsere Beziehung. Die Tantriker in früheren Zeiten wussten, dass all diese Bereiche sich gegenseitig beeinflussen. Letztendlich ist es eine Philosophie der Liebe.

Um über die Essenz von Tantra zu erzählen werden wir mystische Plätze in Indien aufsuchen, den weisen und herzverbundenen tantrischen Meister Bhagavan Shanmukha Natha im Sri Kali Ashram besuchen und die tantrische Künstlerin Parvathy Baul. Wir werden über ihr tägliches Leben berichten, ihre tantrische Praxis wie Yoga, Meditation, Kunst, Gesang oder Tanz, und über die Essenz von dem was sie erfahren. Wir möchten ihnen die Gelegenheit geben, ihre Weisheit, Erfahrung und Liebe mit uns zu teilen. Gleichzeitig geben wir Raum für Diskussion.

Unser Dokumentarfilm wird auch Spielsequenzen beinhalten um einen Eindruck davon zu vermitteln, was tantrische Liebe bedeutet.
