Screentest: National Student Film Festival (SNSFF) is a volunteer run student film festival that takes place in London showcasing the biggest selection of student films and is open to all student filmmakers in the UK. Since relocating to the capital from Bristol we have seen the a steep increase in the visibility of the SNSFF as well as seen the festival gain some of the most valued and respected partnerships in the industry.
With the continued support of the British Film Institute and our long time supporters at BAFTA the committee has forged new partnerships from the likes of ECU Festival in Paris and Film London. Now hosted at London's South Bank University our 2011 festival achieved a record 150 submissions and in 2012 we received 170.
BUT Screentest has sadly lost ALL of it's private sponsorship (totalling £1500 in 2010) and we now rely solely on ticket sales as a source of revenue. For our upcoming 2012 Festival we have also offered, for the first time in the Festival's history, FREE entry to filmmakers who submitted their films to us - potentially further hampering our fundraising potential.
And this is where YOU come in! With your help Screentest can continue to promote and exhibit the fantastic student film talent that the UK has to offer. The more money we can raise, the bigger our national presence can be. We passionately believe that student filmmakers are under-represented in the UK's diverse film culture - and with your help, we hope to change that.
