Here is an other teaser that we made of Regnet during the fall 2010.
It is not shot on 35mm, but it shows a part of the story, costumes and locations.
In a post apocalyptical world, a reporter wants to make his life's journey, a documentary of life as a refugee. Dressed up as a refugee he will follow other refugees through the landscapes before reaching the big city of Sarn. He has small mini cameras attached to himself, and when he finds the perfect "victim" of his journey and documentary he will attach a camera to that person so we all can see his point of view.
Soon he finds a lonely boy, and decides to make him the star of his journey, without the boy knowing anything. Together they walk through the landscape of destruction and warzones. They get picked up by a merchandiser who let them work at his place for safety and guidance.
They get separated from each other and the reporter returns to the city, still following the boy, who now is alone in a foreign world, struggling to survive. And the reporter enjoys the fact that his documentary will be the best one ever.
This film is planned to be shot in Sweden on the small island Gotland during the fall of 2012. We have been planning this film for so long and has got some attention, but when it comes to funding the Swedish Film Institute doesn't look our way. We need to raise a total amount of £200,000.
The film will be shot on 35mm and 16mm, and that is a good reason to support this project, since now days most of the films are shot digitally, like RED and Arri ALEXA. But we have the knowledge, the possibility and the opportunity to shot this film on film. Supported by Fuji Motion Picture Film, Kameraten AB (a Swedish camera rental company) and Nordisk Film ShortCuts (a post production company) we still don't have enough to shoot the film. And we have Letter of Intents from these companies.
We are about to translate the script in to English and then shoot it in English as well. All to reach a worldwide audience. And the film will be screened at film festivals all over the world, and also sold to TV-channels.
We believe the film are supposed to be shot on film. And we believe in the power of help from people who wants to see powerful and artistic films on screen.
We need to raise enough money for the equipment, to start off with. Even though we have wonderful discounts on the camera, film stock and post production, we still need to raise £60'000 to be able to shoot the film.
After that we need money to be able to build our sets, getting all the costumes, props special vehicles and so on. And for that we need an other £40'000
And finally we want to be able to pay our crew and actors. And that is the biggest part in our budget. For that we need the last £100'000.
But we will fund our film in this orders. So if we don't get enough funding we will start with raise money for the equipment so we at least can start shooting, and ask our cast and crew to work for free until we have more money.
You will get our biggest thanks ever! For associate producers we are willing to sign a PSP-contract (a profit-sharing-point-contract) that gives you a possibility to get your funding back, if this film will gain a lot of money. But you will forever be in our hearts, and in the credits of course, for helping us fulfill a dream!

Here is a temporary webpage for Regnet.
We will update it as soon as something fun happens. Like we get more backers of funding in other ways.
There will soon also be a new video, a behind the scenes of our test shoot, added.
We have got some questions about why we try to get so much money? And here is our basic answer.
We want to shot this film on film. From the start that has been the goal, since this story is made for being shot on film. It is about being artistic, show quality and to present the story, characters and enviroments in the best way.
Since there is a lot of hand held camera in this story, the small mini-cameras that will be attached on different characters, we tried to use a digital camera, the Canon 7D, but to be honest, the digital cameras just doesn't work when you are going hand held. And we need to use a different format then the cineatic pictures, so 16mm was the best option vs. 35mm.
It is also an issue of making a statement, to place us as filmmakers on the map. To do quality films we gain trust and respect for our work. It is a handcraft to work with film. You need the skills, and we have them.
The money we raise will foremost go to the equipment and other artistic elements, such as costume, props, set dressing etc. So it is not aout that we as producers wants to give our self a big paycheck. And to be honest again, we don't earn a penny.
A dream is that everyone participating in this film will get enough to pay their bills, but our main goal is to make one of the best and fantastic movies that have been made in a long time.
Therefore we need your help!
Here is a "Behind the scenes" sequence of when we did the test shooting of Regnet.
It is subtitled in to english.
We have now started the translation of the script, from Swedish to English, all to be prepared for making the film in English instead, so we can reach a bigger audience. :)
By the end of january that will be done.
We have also gathered more filmworkers on Gotland that are interested to work with the film. It feels good, even though we have a long way before we start shooting the film.
This year is coming to an end. But we wont give up!
Our maingoal is to shoot the film in September 2012, but we need your help!
One thing we will do in January is to send in an application to The Swedish Film Institute and hope that they will accept this project. The application is almost done and we are just eager to send it away! :)
Now we have started the translation of the script, from Swedish to English. Feels great!
And we have help from a very good friend of mine, that know the language well, and is writing her own stuff, so she knows how to transform the poetic and filosophical lines in the best way.
So, here we are. Realizing that we wont reach our goal. :)
But now worries! We still have hope for this project.
All the money that we will raise the last 7 days will go to translating the script and send out more applications across Europe.
And if we can't shoot the film this year, we will go for shooting 2013 instead. This film WILL be done, not matter what! :) That's how much we belive in this project.
So we still need your support!
Finally the script is translated from Swedish to English.
Big thanks to Maria Hedström that made an excellent work for us.
Soon we will send out applications to filmfunds across Europe and also to the Swedish Film Institute.
