Editions project - Birth Rites Collection

Purchase a limited edition artwork and help us to bring over Judy Chicago donated artworks to the UK.

Seven artists have created limited editions of artworks to help Birth Rites Collection raise money to bring two tapestries and two documentation works by the internationally acclaimed artist, Judy Chicago from her 1980's birth project over to the UK to be on permanent display in the Birth Rites Collection at Salford University midwifery department. This is a unique opportunity to acquire such prestigious works. The funds will also enable the BRC curatorial team to exhibit five artists works in the Trajector Art Fair, Brussels in April 2012.

The seven artists who are have made editions are; Wiebke Leister, Samantha Sweeting, Matt Collier, Helen Knowles, Helen Sargeant, Rose Gibbs and Judith Lyons. Please look at the editions project on the BRC collection website for biographies and further information.

When you purchase an edition, 50% of the price of the work will go towards our project and 50% towards the artist. Work will be sent via recorded delivery when the project has ended. If you would like to visit the artist to see the work before making a purchase, a studio visit can be organised by emailing helen@birthrites.org.uk We can email you more detailed images of the works. Prices include postage and packing.
