In the eyes of the world he has everything. So why does it feel like nothing?
Disaffected is a film about the emptiness of modern life, the oppressiveness of the urban jungle and how to live in a world you don't believe in. The quarter-life crisis won't go away...
Sounds like uplifting stuff? Although it may not be a laugh a minute, we at ThisAffected Productions are trying to create work that causes a reaction. We want our audience to respond. Whether it be emotional, intellectual or physical, positive or negative, we don't care. We just want something!
This is the second film by ThisAffected Productions and principle photography was finished last year. We are currently in the exciting stage of finishing the film and getting it out into the world of film festivals. We would really appreciate any donations which would speed the movie through post-production and aid us in the costly process of entering it into international festivals. If we raise enough, we would also be able to do a screening in London.
We are aiming to send it to Tribeca, Sundance, Cannes and hundreds of other European and UK short film festivals.
Your money will go largely into paying for entrance fees into festivals, and for post-production - i.e.: grading, sound mixing etc.
Disaffected is written and directed by Chris MacDonald and features an incredible cast including:
Joseph Millson (Casino Royale, Campus)
Fiona Hampton (Holby City, Sarah Jane Adventures)
Eleanor Yates (Crimson Petal and the White)
The music is being written by the incredible Isobel Waller-Bridge (Life, Planet Earth.)
And much of the crew were drawn from the festival smash 'For Elsie'.
There are lots of exciting incentives if you can help us out at all. We are a young company with several new projects in the pipeline and we would love you forever if you would become a part of our future by donating anything you can.
If you like the idea of challenging film with incredible acting and compelling stories as opposed to another superhero movie, please put your hand in your pocket.
If not... Fair enough, I love the first X-men film.
