James, our protagonist, leads a boring life. He's found himself in a dead end job and can't seem to shake it off. Everything he does follows a routine; each day he wakes up, goes to the same train station, waits at the same platform and catches the same train.
The one thing he does get to look forward to however, is seeing the girl of his dreams. He sees her each day on his commute to work, and she's the most beautiful girl he's ever laid eyes on. She's funny, kind and has a great personality.
At least he assumes so.
The problem is, James is shy, and no matter how hard he tries, he can't find the courage to approach her and make the first move. We follow his journey of awkward and embarrassing attempts at trying to win her heart as he travels to work, which more often than not gets him into all kinds of awkward situations. With the advice from his two closest friends, James is determined to catch the attention of his dream girl.
This is the story of boy meets girl... but with nerves.

I'm Adam Palmer and I'm the Writer and Director of 'Carriages'. I've had a passion for film and filmmaking since an early age and thankfully have pursued it as a career. I've been making short films, documentaries and music videos for some time and now I feel is the time to get myself heard. Upon completing this film, I intend to take it to film festivals up and down the UK, and depending on it's success, even further. I have studied filmmaking for 5 years, including 3 years at Staffordshire University.
Not only that, I've also had the opportunity to work with a number of professional production companies, allowing me to develop my skills on a level that's not usually achieveable academically.
