ANANKÉ is a science fiction drama short film about fate. An imaginary society... a different world.
Obviously when you are born you have your Birthday…but in this world you know the day you will die as well. So people learn to live with death as natural part of life.
Nobody worries about the future because they know when the end will come. Anne and Sean are in love…but in this world there are many different ways to face life. In the style of a Greek tragedy, the characters fight against fate, and the results are dramatic…but, is destiny already written?
ANANKÉ is the name of Greek Goddess of fate and the inevitable. Death is the end for everybody and you cannot avoid it.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Every single penny of the money we raise will go directly into the production budget for ANANKÉ. The whole crew and cast will be working for free. They are going to make a great effort because they are great professionals. At least we feed them and pay for their journeys. So, we need money for transport and catering. Also we will need to rent professional equipment. We want high quality images therefore we have to rent lighting, sound equipment, props and camera.
When the short film is completed, we will place it into competition at some of the most prestigious film festivals around the world.
We are only asking for £1200 to cover the main expenses to make this short film possible. With this money plus our own savings we plan to start shooting at the end of September.
We have written an amazing screenplay. Scouted and found great locations. Pre-shot some footage on the location to make sure it looks perfect. We did a few auditions looking for the best cast.
